Winery tastings
from Sardinian producers

Vermentino, Cannonau, Torbato: wines that tell the story of the land with the same intensity as the landscapes around them. Meet the people who make them, visit the wineries, taste straight at the source.

Sardinian wine only makes sense when you meet it at the source

Sardinia produces wines of unique character, from native grape varieties cultivated for millennia in a territory of extraordinary variety: windswept hills over the sea, inland plateaus, volcanic and granite soils. Every area has its wine, every winery has its story.

With Sardinia Guide you don't step into a tourist winery: you meet real people who have dedicated their lives to the vineyard. The visit includes a walk through the vine rows, the cellar with its barrels, an explanation of the winemaking process and, finally, a tasting paired with local specialities.

We only select small and medium-sized wineries, where the relationship with the producer is direct and the welcome is genuine — not a mass-market service.

The stars of the show
The Sardinian wines you need to know

An ancient ampelographic heritage, unique in the world, kept alive by producers who resist standardisation.

🥂

Vermentino di Gallura DOCG

North Sardinia

The only Sardinian wine with DOCG status. A fresh, aromatic white with a light bitter almond aftertaste. Produced on the granite soils of Gallura, with sea views that already hint at its character.

🍷

Cannonau di Sardegna DOC

Across the island

Sardinia's most beloved and long-lived red, rich in polyphenols and linked to the island's inland areas. Full-bodied and warm, with notes of ripe red fruit and spice. Produced mainly around Oliena and Jerzu.

🍾

Torbato di Alghero DOC

Alghero, North-West

A grape of Catalan origin that survives only in the Alghero area. Straw yellow, with a pleasant slightly bitter aftertaste and a minerality reminiscent of the Mediterranean wind. Rare and precious.

🫙

Carignano del Sulcis DOC

South-West Sardinia

Produced from century-old bush vines on the sandy soils of Sulcis. Intense red, with velvety tannins and a Mediterranean personality you won't forget. Among Italy's most original wines.

Vernaccia di Oristano DOC

Oristano, Sinis

A unique oxidative wine, often compared to Sherry or French Vin Jaune. Aged in old barrels for years, it develops aromas of almond, walnut and dried flowers. A timeless meditation wine.

🌿

Mirto and traditional spirits

Across the island

Beyond wine, Sardinia produces the myrtle liqueur that symbolises the island, filu 'e ferru (Sardinian grappa) and other artisanal spirits that complete any proper tasting.

Arrival and welcome

We reach the winery (private transfer available on request). The producer or guide greets us with a welcome and an introduction to the company's history.

🌿

Walk through the vineyards

We walk among the vine rows: we learn to recognise the native grape varieties, and understand how soil and microclimate shape the wine's character. A lesson in terroir.

🍾

Winery visit

We enter the real cellar: fermentation tanks, oak barrels, the ageing room. We see with our own eyes how the wine that ends up in our glass is made.

🥂

Guided tasting

We sit down, the bottles are opened. Each wine is presented alongside local specialities — cheeses, cured meats, bread, honey. The best part.
