We have organised shore excursions in Sardinia for cruise lines and their guests for over 20 years. Every tour below is a starting point — the final program is always adapted to your ship's real docking window.

Meet & greet at the port exit

Vehicles cannot come alongside the ship. After disembarking, take the free shuttle bus provided by the port authority to the first stop — the port's passport control / exit gate — where your guide will be waiting with a name sign.

An intimate tour of the vineyards and olive groves of a family-run estate. Taste a selection of wines paired with traditional Sardinian food, guided by the winemaker.

Alghero & the Neptune's Grotto

Alghero port → boat to Capo Caccia → Neptune's Grotto → boat back → old town walk → private transfer

Boat trip to Capo Caccia along the Coral Riviera's cliffs, visit to the spectacular Neptune's Grotto, then a private guided walk through Alghero's Catalan old town before a private transfer back.

Weather and sea conditions dependent — boat access to the Grotto can be suspended in rough seas.

Alghero – The Coral Riviera

Porto Torres → Alghero → Porto Torres

Our classic, most bookable Porto Torres excursion. Scenic transfer to Alghero (~35 min each way), then a 2–2h15 guided walk through the old town — bastions, towers, the Cathedral, Piazza Civica and the Catalan quarter — with time for shopping or a coffee before returning.

Castelsardo & San Gavino — Medieval Sardinia

Porto Torres → Basilica di San Gavino → Castelsardo → Porto Torres

Two eras in one program: the Basilica di San Gavino, one of Sardinia's most important Romanesque monuments, followed by the medieval hilltop village of Castelsardo — alleys, the castle, views over the Gulf of Asinara and the local basket-weaving tradition.

Monte d'Accoddi & Sassari — Prehistoric Sardinia

Porto Torres → Monte d'Accoddi → Sassari → Porto Torres

The pre-Nuragic sanctuary of Monte d'Accoddi, just 8 km from Porto Torres, followed by a guided walk through Sassari's historic centre: Piazza d'Italia, Palazzo della Provincia and the Duomo area.

Monte d'Accoddi is closed on Mondays and public holidays; a Sassari-only variant is available on those dates.

Castelsardo & Wines of Northern Sardinia

Porto Torres → Sorso/Anglona wine estate → Castelsardo → Porto Torres

Our food & wine option: a focused ~1-hour tasting at a winery on the Porto Torres–Sorso–Castelsardo route, followed by a guided visit to Castelsardo's medieval village.

From Olbia, three ways into the Costa Smeralda and the Gallura hinterland.

The Emerald Coast: the town of Porto Cervo, its Yacht Club and the Stella Maris church, a walk on one of the Costa Smeralda's most beautiful beaches at Capriccioli, and a stop at the Belvedere, the coast's highest viewpoint.

Olbia → Berchidda Wine Museum → Gallura winery → Olbia

Italy's first multimedia wine museum, dedicated to Vermentino and Sardinian wine-growing traditions, followed by a private visit and tasting at an excellent local winery in the Gallura wine region, paired with traditional Sardinian food.

Costa Smeralda, Archaeology & Flavours of Gallura

Olbia → Costa Smeralda → Arzachena Nuragic site → local winery → Olbia

A private car takes you through the Costa Smeralda's granite coastline, to a Nuragic archaeological site near Arzachena, and finally to a wine tasting celebrating Gallura's Vermentino.

From Cagliari, our two standard 4-hour programs — plus two longer, extra-time options for calls that allow it.

Cagliari old town → Poetto → Sella del Diavolo → Monte Urpinu → Basilica di Bonaria

A guided walk through the Castello district — the Archaeological Museum, St Pancrazio Tower, the Cathedral and the Bastion of Saint Remy — then by minibus along Poetto beach, the Sella del Diavolo rock formation, the flamingo salt pans, Monte Urpinu and the Basilica di Bonaria, with free time on via Manno.

Nora — Sardinia's Oldest City

Cagliari → Nora archaeological site → Cagliari

30 minutes from Cagliari, the Phoenician city of Nora sits on a rocky promontory surrounded by the sea — Carthaginian and Roman remains, baths with mosaics and a well-preserved Roman theatre, with a panoramic drive back to Cagliari.

Sardinia's most important Nuragic monument and a UNESCO World Heritage site: the megalithic complex of Su Nuraxi, symbol of the island's Bronze Age towers.

Cagliari to Villasimius — Sightseeing with a Swim

Cagliari → Poetto → Sella del Diavolo → Villasimius → Cagliari

Along the coast past Poetto beach, the Sella del Diavolo and the flamingo salt pans, to the beaches of Mare Pintau, Solanas and Porto Sa Ruxi, ending with an ice cream and a swim at Villasimius.

How long do your Sardinia shore excursions last?

Our standard shore excursions from Alghero, Porto Torres, Olbia and Cagliari last around 4 hours. Two Cagliari itineraries (Barumini and Villasimius) run longer and are only proposed when your call allows it.

Do you plan the tour around my ship's actual arrival and departure time?

Yes — every itinerary is built around your vessel's confirmed docking and departure time, so you always have a comfortable margin before reboarding. We need these details before confirming any program.

Are the excursions private?

Yes. All our shore excursions are private, with a dedicated driver and, where included, a licensed local guide — not a shared coach tour.

Which cruise ports do you cover?

We organise private shore excursions at all four main Sardinian cruise ports: Alghero, Porto Torres, Olbia and Cagliari.

What if my ship arrives late or leaves early?
